Naheed Nenshi, a new History First Muslim Mayor's of Calgary, Canada


Finally, the election of Mayor's in Calgary Canada has been won by Naheed Nenshi, the first Muslim to become the Mayor in Canada, according to voting results announced Tuesday. 
Nenshi, 38, graduate of Harvard's business professor who was received almost 40 percent support from 72,000 voters, ahead of the veteran conservative favorite candidates and a local news anchor, as cited by AFP.

 Nenshi who teaches at the University of Mount Royal began a campaign of stealth to spread extensively through social networking, starting with the announcement of his candidacy via a message on the page micro-blogging “Twitter” 

On the day of victory he said, "I hope that every child who woke up this morning, and could see when their parents read newspapers or watch TV ... Regardless, no matter of background, ethnicity, faith or anything, we can say," Wow, in Canada, I can do anything I want to ”.

At the first campaign, Nenshi campaigned through the "Youtube" and "up", by offering a special application for iPhone users that can be downloaded free of charge through the media. The online brochure were translated in about ten different languages, who, which helped in securing the support of immigrants based in the capital of Canada. 

In addition, Nenshi did battle with a classic political campaign denounced the previous government budgets that are luxurious and highlight their immigrant supporters. 
The main issues raised on the campaign before the election is a dispute with the Calgary Police Chief related increase in police budget is very large.
